揭阳市2013年高中毕业班高考第二次模拟考试

本试卷共三部分，满分135分,考试用时120分钟。
注意事项：
1. 答卷前，考生务必用黑色字迹的钢笔或签字笔将自己的姓名、考生号、试室号和座位号填写在答题卷上。
2. 选择题每小题选出答案后，用2B铅笔把答题卷上对应题目的答案标号涂黑；如需改动，用橡皮擦干净后，再选涂其他答案，答案不能答在试卷上。

We can only show mercy to the 4 man who had to stop his car soon after setting out from a country village to drive to London. 5.考查名词及上下文的呼应。A. front前面； B. back后面； C. left左边； D. right右边。
从后文倒数第三行He found the unwelcome passenger hidden near the wheels at the back of the car.在车子后面找到了queen bee，可以知道声音是在后面传来的。故选B。
6.考查动词及上下文的呼应。A. drove开车； B. continued 继续； C. pushed推； D. forced强迫。根据but he found nothing wrong检查无误后，司机继续向前。应选continue（继续），故选B。
