The Marine (海洋)Museum of the Great Lakes in Kingdom was founded in 1975. Located on 55 Ontario St. at the only governmentally built dry dock(码头) on the Great Lakes, the Marine (海洋)Museum houses the first pumping station (水泵站)and steam(蒸汽)engines built in 1891.
The Museum has a variety of collection of artifacts (人工制品)and exhibits and fine art collection, and is home to Gordon C. Shaw Study Centre and Audrey Bushbrook Memorial library.

Guided Tours for a group of 10 or more
Upon arrival at the Museum your group will be met by one of our expert guides. Your guide will provide an overview of the site and its history , as well as the role of the Great Lakes in Canadian history. The tour will begin in the Museum , stopping in each gallery to learn about both the current exhibits as well as the history of each section of the building and the site itself. Weather permitting, your group will head outdoors and board the Museum Ship Alexander Henry, which is available for tours from May to October. Your group will have the chance to explore the Henry from top to bottom learning about life on board a Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker!
Touring each site will take between 30 and 45 minutes, and can be changed for your time requirements.
