D
I started using a wheelchair(轮椅) when I was a little kid. In primary school, I never felt different or alone. I did many activities. I even performed dances in my wheelchair and won prizes. However, in my heart I still hoped that I could walk like other kids.
One day my parents told me that an operation(手术) might help me. When I went into the operating room, I was hopeful. After my operation, I was in so much pain that I got really upset. I even wanted to give up my lifelong dream一walking.
Later I went to an inpatient rehabilitation center(住院病人康复中心),along with my mom. At first, I didn't like it there. There were all kinds of rehabilitation exercises. There was so much I couldn' t do. And it was hard to make friends. But gradually, things began to improve.
Recently, I've made big progress, like being able to stand for five minutes. I feel hopeful again. I also joined in the Just Say Hi, an activity to encourage everyone not to be afraid to say hello to disabled people.
This experience has changed me a lot. It made me as strong as diamonds(钻石) and my dreams as high as Qomolangma. Here I just want to use my story to share the following message: stay strong, never give up, and if you can dream it, you can do it.
